IPG Photonics Announced Winner of 2018 Fierce Innovation Award for Next Gen Network Deployment



Oxford, Massachusetts November 1, 2018 –    IPG Photonics today announced that is was honored as this year's winner of Fierce Innovation Award, Telecom Edition - Next Gen Deployment - Wireline.


Now in its 6th annual edition, the Fierce Innovation Award showcases the telecom industry most innovative solutions of the year and recognizes companies that have pioneered “game-changing,” unique and novel products that positively impact a service provider business case and provide genuine competitive advantages. With over 1,000 applicants since inception from across the industry; a panel of judges comprised of industry analysts and leaders from service providers like Verizon, CenturyLink, Sprint and Telia selected one winner whose product demonstrate clear innovation advantages vis-à-vis the competition for each award category in 2018.


IPG Photonics is recognized for the company OTN tunable SFP+ “System-in-module” developed by its business unit, Menara Networks.
